Did you know? (or some great, less obvious features for our newish members)
As not everyone has been around for years and knows all the functionality we have, I thought it would be useful to highlight some less obvious, but very handy features here on Next Episode:
custom search engines
- add your favorite media source in there and get to those episodes with 1 click
- get web and email notifications for your shows, movies and channels
sitewide settings, like episode format, hide show specials or non-English shows etc
- check out the time spent watching your shows and how much time you need to see the rest
use your calendar in other apps
- add the export url to Google Calendar or your mobile/iOS calendar
discovery charts to find great new stuff to watch
Next Episode is also available on

Wanted to let you know that the 'time spent' link is coming up as 404 Not Found.
Thank you for all that you do! Really appreciate it!

Thanks for reporting this and the kind words. The link is now fixed :)

"Next Episode is also available on iOS, Android and as a KODI service"
Oh my goodness this I didn't know!! This is so fabulous!! I've been hoping for a KODI add-on for years! Oh my you've really made my Friday. Thank you so much Santah!

Does the iOS app allow you to view Episodes by tag? If it does, I couldn't figure it out; not a big deal but after many years here I just started adding my own tags for better organization.

Have you thought of an integration with Plex? So for example shows I watch there will be marked as watched here?
This is what I love about NextEp and why I've been a paying member for years. So many cool little features.
Another great, less obvious feature of the site worth pointing out is Santah's willingness to build new features based on direct feedback :)

@msopnet - not for now, no
@Dezent - if someone steps in and develops the Plex service - sure

"You've spent about 9 months, 14 days, 11 hours and 57 minutes"
I did not need this feature :o

The calendar export is a new one for me! :)

@Helluuu, you are a light-weight: "You've spent about 1 year, 4 months, 15 days, 8 hours and 35 minutes..."

Great tips. thanks

You've spent about 2 years, 8 months, 14 days, 1 hour and 10 minutes watching your series and have seen a total of 29198 episodes with an average length of 48 min.
What did you say @wizard? :D

Custom Search Engine setting: "Enable search engines on homepage", I don't think it works?
@Kanga - have you added any custom search engines?
@santah yes and I'm turning it off but it is still showing up.
Love this site....such a great help knowing when and where my shows!!!!! Great work!!!!
@Kanga - wait, so you want to turn that feature off, not on?
@santah yes, I don't want to custom search engines on the frontpage(but only in episodes etc). Nomatter what I do, I get em.
@Kanga - thanks for reporting this. It's now fixed.
There was a bug indeed in the simplified (no thumbnails) lists, where search engines would show no matter what.
well I want custom search engines on the frontpage and they are gone now hopefully your fixing them santah.
@midoss - you can turn the setting on here:
