Thu Jul 09, 2020 - Recent downtime

We had about 40 minutes of downtime yesterday. The same thing happened a few days ago as well.

I'm still working with the hosting company to identify what caused it and fix it.

Apologies and don't worry if it happens again - I worry enough for all of us (I'm automatically, immediately notified when the site is down). Just check back a bit later.

Update July 18th: This is still an issue and still being worked on.

things happen, don't worry. even though i like this site it's not necessary and even a whole day of outage would be a small problem in the grand scheme of things.

I do not believe that you should have any fear of deterring anyone from using your site just because of a little 'down time' !
I find this site informative - up to date and always there when needed (sometimes surprisingly better informed than other sites i have noticed !)

Could this be the slippery slope to the end of times? Are the robots are taking over? If it's not those then it's probably something simple like the host is updating their files/database. Keep up the good work and try and relax just a little ;)

Might be the cause.

Yeah, yeah, apparently we were affected by this which is great, because initially I was worried that being behind Cloudflare didn't improve anything ...
