Ok, as the comments to the yesterday's post ended up in explanations to each user individually what to do, here's the short version of what happened and what to do about it:

Timezones and air dates/times on Next Episode were off. They were fixed yesterday. You're seeing the Homepage and the Calendar lists according to your timezone.

So if a show airs in the US at 8pm on a Sunday, but you're in Europe - most likely this will be the following Monday for you, in the early AM hours.

If you want to see the shows in your lists the next day, not when they aired - you can offset those lists by 1 day in the homepage settings and in the calendar settings and/or simply change your timezone to a US one.

In show details, if the show timezone is different than yours - you'll see Local Date and Local Time for Next and Previous episode so that you'll know exactly when it airs in your local time.

Let me know if that clears it up and if you have any issues and suggestions! If something is off it'll be fixed!

The offsets didn't work, I've just has to set my time zone to GMT-5 New York. Why the change Santah..? can't speak for everyone else, but I liked it showing me what time they were on in EST.

Because even though some of us liked it like it was (including me) - the dates and times were effectively wrong and not only people complained - new users didn't know what was going on and why it worked like that. This needed to be fixed eventually.

So john-halliwell, you managed to set it up to work as you're used to?

I know it was wrong but now it is confusing correct.
I liked it, when the calendar showed the EST date let's say for The Walking Dead as Sunday, but now, since I'm in Europe and I haven't set an offset, the show is listed for Monday, since it is a late night show. Setting the offset of -1 day would again mess up other shows.
So how about an offset in hours instead of days? I know it would still mess up eventually when I have shows from New Zealand and the US and the U.K. on my watchlist but IMHO you can fine tune your listings ;)

BB, did you try what I suggested in this news post - to set the timezone to a US one in order to set it up like you're used to?

Of course that works, but then I don't see when it actually airs in my (correct) time zone and the new feature is rendered meaningless :P

For you, who likes how it worked before, but many people were confused by that and would prefer it was correct :)

Got to say I liked it the way it was. A suggestion (no idea how practical), can there be a time set for YOUR beginning of the day? I mean if something aired 1am local time for me that is not airing today but yesterday as I got up after it aired. If possible a setting in the user area to say my day starts at 9am (for example). Anything airing prior to this would still show up as aired yesterday. Thanks

Just weird, the walking dead is available to download on a monday but my calendar is showing it as being on a tuesday and nothing i change is fixing it :

Edit: I see there's a seperate function and have fixed it now, but if i didn't change - in my example the walking dead airs in the US on a Sunday night, in my timezone this means it's available in the early hours of monday but the site would show it as not being available till the tuesday

Even after adjusting my time zone to reflect how episodes used to show, the issues I am having is that UK shows are now also showing a day behind with US shows. My opinion is that it wasn't rocket science previously as a new user and I soon understood how the site operates. If its not broke, don't fix it springs to mind! Please revert back.....!

I liked how it was before, so I adjusted my timezone to new york (even though I live in Europe) and it seems to have worked more or less. This is a POSITIVE change as site should be working more accurately now. For any change you will have people complaining, if everyone would listen to them, we would still think the earth is flat. Instead of complaining, just embrace it ! (and report any issues you have instead of requesting to change it back how it was).

It may well be that people's perceptions of the quality of the change depends on where they live and also from where their shows come, but let me tell you the problem as the system is right now:

Before:
A TV show from the US is aired on a Friday. I wake up on Saturday morning and I download all the shows that aired yesterday - Friday. I also download the UK shows that aired yesterday - Friday.

Now:
All the TV shows that aired in the US on Friday are now aired on Saturday, while for example the TV shows that aired in the UK on Friday are still aired on Friday.
So, if I choose to keep my GMT, the shows that aired the same day and are downloaded at the same time and watched on the same evening, are aired on different days on the page.

If I choose to change to New York, if I understand it correctly, the site behaves exactly as it did before? Confusing.

This has nothing to do with resisting change, as augiz insinuates. It does, however, have everything to do with the usability of the site being seemingly worse after the change than it was before the change.

As for reporting issues, the change has broken the Future/Past calendar on the frontpage. I have it set to show three days from the past and four days from the future, but now it only shows three and three. Right now, next Friday is missing from the list.

Augiz - I was simply giving my opinion which I'm entitled to, not complaining! I like your comment that it now works 'more or less'....Very positive! Go argue with the flat earthers on a conspiracy site, I can point you in the right direction....

Personally, I like the change as I prefer being able to see the correct air time locally, though it does, as some others have said, slightly mess with the days on which shows are shown to be airing. Having said that, it shouldn't be too difficult to get used to, and the option to change to a US time zone is always there if it gets too annoying. So thanks for the change santah.

Suggestion to appease everyone: would it be possible to have a setting which effectively 'voids' the time zone for the purposes of the calendar (but keeps it correct for the show pages)? So you'd still see the local air time on the show page, but it would keep the shows within the correct days on the calendar, etc? One way of doing this might be to apply the user's time zone for episodes and show pages, but to apply the show's air time (in its own time zone - as it was before) for the calendar...?
