can now pick the season/episode formatting sitewide.
Possible choices are

and the same with uppercase.
Check it out in

Thanks for this nice to be able to use the ones we prefer

Looks great. Thanks Santah!

I'm all for changing things up for Premium members, but taking what was perceived as a default view and changing it to the least preferable for non-premium members feels like everyone should either get Premium or just hope to hell that tomorrow morning at least some things look similar...
No, I am not a premium member, and no I don't think I'm just being pissy about this...
If you release what is deemed a "Premium" feature, release a real premium feature without taking away from the standard experience.
Santah, everyone appreciates everything you do with the site and the service you provide, but breaking down your own standards in order to create a perceived premium is not the way to go.

I believe s11e3 is less confusing than 11x3 or 11x03, that's why this is now the default everywhere. Why would you think it's the least preferable option?
Previously, there were 2 types of formatting across the site. Now everything is unified into one.
Nothing was taken away from the standard experience, if anything - it's improved.
If most users agree with you that the default should be something else - I will switch it, but I really think the current default is the best one (and will be the one I use).
It's a matter of taste and personal preference. I find 1x01 easier to read
comment # 6 by
This is very NICE indeed! I love having the ability to choose. Thanks for this santah, and everything else you've done in the past to make this site (and app) numero uno!! I've been premium for a long time now because I knew it would pay off in the long run. I still stand correct with each passing year! =)
Mmm, seriously considering Premium just to switch it (until now I have whitelisted n-e in both ABP and Ghostery). 100% agree with riaans on this one: I clicked on "Episodes" and everything felt wrong. Like a regression.
I get that this is a matter of a preference, but I really liked the old way. I have no idea where on the site it was different (and was showed there), I only know that the formatting under "Episodes" changed for me and I dislike it. (Ugh, that felt like a "I DON'T WANT CHANGE!", which is not what I meant…)
My first feeling was exactly the same as riaans: "taking what was perceived as a default view and changing it to the least preferable for non-premium members feels like everyone should either get Premium or just hope to hell that tomorrow morning at least some things look similar..."
After reading your response I get why you did it, just hope it gets changed back again. :)
Keep up the good work!
I agree with Riaans and Blitz.
I was really used to the old version and i find it more easily readable.
Nice! Maybe please add 01x01 format? It's quite widely used...
Btw, does anyone use those formats with capital X? 01x01 format is generally used because it nicely separates the capital-letter-tall numbers, so small x makes more sense...
Btw2, i just run into "Sherlock 3x0Special" on my homepage :-)
01x01 format added and the Sherlock bug fixed! :)
Not sure if anyone will uses it, but I've seen it around on other sites. If no one uses them after some time - I'll remove the capital X choices from there ...
Wish the 1x03 version was the default. Current one is so ugly and harder to read :(
comment # 13 by
I would like you to make S01E01 format as default.
Either s01e03 or 1x03.
BTW, I'm now getting episode names in my Today's / Tomorrow's / Yesterday's lists even though I have that setting disabled.
@tvholic - those were always there in the simplified (no images) Today's / Tomorrow's lists.
agree with riaans and blizt. It just feels wrong
comment # 18 by
I think that customization here is a wonderful premium feature. That being said, I also think that the current default is "clunky", and would prefer that the default return to the old format.
I checked what most Premium members picked so far, and it was almost 50% 1x03 formatting (second best choice wasn't even close to being that popular).
Because of this and the requests in here - the default is now 1x03. I still think s1e3 is more descriptive and gives the info easier - at a glance - but I agree 1x03 looks better and I know everyone is used to something similar to it (which was 1x3) so I guess it'll be more universally accepted and enjoyed.

Is the left panel on the home page (watchlist) supposed to be different to the actual watchlist?
Oh! They match now, I must have just loaded the watch list after you changed it back!! But they're now showing s1e01 but I've got 1x01 in my settings
comment # 22 by
Now they've gone back to normal! Thanks!! :)
Yea, I was tweaking some stuff, it's possible you caught me half way through it :)
You made me look like mad man talking to himself :D
comment # 25 by
Current 1x01 format is easier to read so nicely done, But Free is Free and I have no complaints ...
I like the comments here as they are more constructive than negative, I am happy that the basics are free and meet my needs, i'm not a real customize guy and the home page gives me most of what i need which just when the heck the next show in my list is on is on :). So Thank You Very much!
Awesome, thanks Santah!
This is a nice new feature! Have a wonderful day! Be safe.
Any chance you can move the times and airing channel to under the show name instead of above? I didn't read the comments so sorry if this was already requested.
I use s01e01 when naming them on my computer.
Many thanks for a GREAT site Santah
Standard is mostly S01E01 as it makes for a real alphabetical/numerical order. Just like if you want files with dates in name, it should be YYYY-MM-DD and not DD-MM-YYYY or MM-DD-YYYY (unless intended).
There's a lot of 1x01 also (more in the past than today). It's fine until you get in the 10x01 and depending on systems. But that's for files. For the site, it's good also as a cosmetic preference.
I think you can probably remove s1e3, I don't think this was ever used as a format and like the others, it's a confusing one.
As for the non-premium complaining ;) - Following up on what riaans said, this is a cosmetic option, not really a feature. If you are lacking ideas to develop, I'm sure there's a few in the forum.
Another few :
Ability to Export watch list (csv, xml)
RSS Feed (I think there's one no? or was one?)
Schedule by Network ( http://imgur.com/j7iZMmh ) - Customizable
Shows by Channel
And so on...

I'm posting here, 'cause I'm kinda lost... do I have to have a different username & password to login to the forums. Even though I'm already logged in here, it said I wasn't logged in, & it said my login info for here, was wrong. Also, can I set my shows to show for my time zone, & if so, how? Thanks.
Forums is a seperate login, I think you have to sign up seperately - can't remember. As for time zone, I'm not sure what you mean - but if you set your time zone correctly and don't set any of the offsets then everything should be relative to your time, e.g. shows will show up in watchlist exactly after they aired in their original country, any air times should be in your timezone to match in real time when the show is aired, etc.
@libazrth1 Top of the page - Settings - then - Profile Settings and set your timezone (though it should already be set).
Please add an option to capitalize the letters. So instead of s1e01, it'll become S1E01
comment # 36 by
@jeppecarl this option is already there ...
@santah Oh, sorry. Guess I should wait a little longer before commenting on stuff after I get up in the morning... :P
Love your work!
A long awaited wish came true - tnx santah :)
Only one minor glitch. The format isn't used in the TTY lists (no pic style). It's still shown as:
(Season: x Episode: y)
- new format -
:D Awesome! Thank you!
It would be great if the chosen format was exported in the ics calendar export as well.
Love this update.
Thanks Santah, another nice little extra reason to keep supporting the site.
I agree with people who wants 1x11 rather then this new format.
Ok, looking everywhere and can find NO info whatsoever. HOW do I cancel my premium and stop my crad being charged?
