Having 2 lists on the Episodes page was a feature requested for a long time now. Some users even reported they're using 2 accounts on Next Episode to be able to keep track of their Acquired and Watched episodes.

For Premium members, in the Episodes tracking page, there is now a "Show Acquired Status" toggle which adds an acquired status checkbox to all episodes. Clicking the checkbox (or the season episode number of the show) will mark it as Acquired, and clicking on the [-] will mark it watched as before.

Check it out and let me know how it works for you and if you're happy with the implementation!

Update: Added filter to switch between All Episodes, Not Acquired and Only Acquired!

I've unchecked 'show episode names' but that doesn't seem to work after today's changes.

Edit: would it be possible to get something like a "Batch mark as (acquired|watched)" in the Episodes tracking page?

@shota99 if you mean in the simplified view (with no images) - this always worked like that. Episodes names are always visible in that mode

@mceep - maybe a checkbox on the left of Season X as to mark acquired whole seasons at a time? Would that be enough?

Would it be possible to add an option to show in the Episodes list only acquired episodes? Right now, all episodes are shown with a checkmark for acquired episodes.

There would be two view settings:
1. Show all unwatched episodes (like now), here users could mark new episodes as acquired
2. Show only unwatched and acquired episodes
This would enable users to see a shortened list of only relevant shows/episodes.
What do you think?

Since I acquire most episodes instantly with only small exceptions I would like an inverse feature, to mark only episodes which have to be acquired. Or a setting that sets the acquired flag initially. So I would uncheck the episode I need to acquire.

Nice feature, but does it really need to be behind a premium pay wall? It's just a checkbox.

As Ian3E said, next logical step would be option to see some filtered lists:
- unwatched & unaquired (to know what yet to aquire O:-))
- unwatched & aquired (to know what I can watch right now)

Current list (all unwatched) would still stay default, but sometimes filtered list can be useful, I imagine.
But it's definitely NOT a must-have feature, but maybe sometimes, when you have nothing better to do... :-)

Just buy premium, it's not that expensive :-)

Thank you santah. I'm one of the people that has always wanted such a feature, but there's little point in it unless we can actually do something more with the information.

My ideal world would have a past/future list on the front page right (and even the Watchlist on the front page left and the Todays/Tomorrows/Yesterdays lists on the front page center) that hides all the shows that I have already acquired, since that is my main purpose for that list. :)

As a sidenote, FYI, for some reason your change today disabled the "Include shows not in my watchlist when in their 1st season" option for me.

Could we get prepaid membership, with a reminder to pay for the next month some time before it lapses? I hate automatic payments.

If I did go premium again a list of unacquired would be useful. I may also find myself in a state with watched but unacquired episodes; having them drop off when only both are checked could be useful.

@Paul_Bags: I'm curious. What's the difference between manually paying every month, and having it set to automatic, aside from not having to remember to do it when it happens automatically?

The difference is not remembering to leave the money in the account, and in having full control of my money. Currently there's no reminder either way. I could sign up and then cancel my automatic payments, I could possibly even mimic the payment manually rather than lapsing & signing up again; but there's still no reminder. Paying for membership here is not something I want to have to remember & mamage every month, and I would forget every year. I don't think a bill/reminder email is unreasonable.

Is it possible to track shows ONLY for acquisition and not watching. IE: I don't watch ncis right now but I still want to see it pop up to tell me to go find it and once I mark it downloaded I don't want it in my list, I want it at the bottom where it's sitting right now since I'm not tracking it (using another list for acquisition marking right now). I would want ncis so show as needed along with other shows I currently want to download AND watch so the proposed settings above I think wouldn't necessarily work unless i can turn acquire/watch separately for each show?

Works perfectly for me. I am very happy about this. I know I have missing shows, this will now let me track that easily. It keeps the acquired tick when the season is closed so when I want to go back and track me watching, I can just reopen the entire season and tick as I watch. :)

The links "Show Acquired Status", "Time Spent", & "Manage Watched" links are now sitting half over the "By Show Name" & "Collapse Seasons" links.

one question:
Where can i bring back list of all shows whats aired today/tomorrow/yesterday?
In settings i can bring back only shows what aired their 1st season.

@Paul_Bags - simply get the Lifetime Premium. That way you will not have to remember anything. As for the layout issue in the Episodes page - what browser / OS does this happen on so I can reproduce the issue and fix it?

ok, i found my problem.
If turning off "Include shows not in my watchlist when in their 1st season",
you also need turn off "Only shows from my watchlist", then its back to like it was before :)

@santah: Sorry, I should have been clearer. I toggled it back on and it works fine. Just wanted to let you know that it happened :)

The filter works cool, but the Not Acquired filter only hides series when you have acquired all of the shows in the season. When I have acquired some shows but not all, it also shows the ones that I have already acquired. Is that intentional?

@ArniVidar - the filter wasn't being taken into account when dynamically switching between seasons.

The Air Dates option "Offset air dates by 1 day so that shows appear the next day after they air" seems to be working in reverse now.

I now have to have it unchecked to show the episodes on their available day.

Any chance you have browser extensions that are messing up with the site layout? Like Adblock, or Stylish or something else?

@santah: It does it even in safe mode (firefox > help > restart with add-ons disabled).

@Paul_Bags: Just update you browser, your version's engine is more than 2 years old and even though it's ESR, it's no longer supported. I guess new Firefox (42) or last ESR (38) will work just fine.

When I tried to update they stuck me on the release channel, mine was 'old' but they hadn't got the next ESR out yet. They claim it can't happen but it did so I reverted and told them to F themselves. If they'd stick to updating the rendering engine instead of new features and layouts I don't want then I never would have gone ESR in the first place.

It's not like there's been great leaps in CCS or HTML since then, positioning some text shouldn't be such an issue.

I could understand not being supported, sure. But failure should happen gracefully.
