End of the year is here and so is the snow! You enjoying the holidays? Getting cool stuff this year?

As always - this is a convenient time for me to ask you - what are you missing on the site/apps or what can be improved upon? What do you want to see on Next Episode in 2018?

My biggest items in the TODO for 2018 are major updates to the mobile apps and better movies functionality and integration on the website. New Premium features are in the pipeline as well.

Speaking of snow; I have to say the snowy theme on next-episode is kind of weird and a little bit alienating for us southern hemisphere folk. For us, Christmas holidays is sunscreen and beaches!

Indeed the winter snowy theme is a bit weird even in the northern hemisphere since the snow is this year even more absent (where I live) but sunscreen and beaches is (for me) just wishful thinking.

I enjoyed the last 13 years on this site and IÃ¢â¬â¢m happy that santah is still managing this site perfectly and surprises us every year with new features we didnÃ¢â¬â¢t know we were missing - maybe he is Santa ;)

I agree with others here, thank you Santah for all your hard work. I've been a premium member since the beginning, and I don't know how I managed my TV shows prior to Next-Episode. Thank you, and wishing you and everyone a very Happy Holidays, no matter where you are on earth.

Yeah, no snow in here as well (had some for like 2 days a few weeks ago, sunny now), but let's at least have some snow in here if there isn't any outside, eh?

Love you guys with no snow. Currently have 2+ft of "global warming" on the ground and it's -6C. Wish you were here.

Loads of snow here in Finland. Don't really have any suggestions since the site and Android app fill my tv tracking needs perfectly. Really like the simplicity, nothing too fancy. Been regular user about 12 years and don't think I've ever said thanks to santah before. So, thank you! :)

I used this site for many years and I dont have enough resources to pay for a premium so I accept I am not getting all the good stuff. But what I dont like is making features which were avaialable for free for a long timm all of sudden make thjem premium features. Feeels like Santah is starting to grow into a big fat money wolf.

I noticed it before but recently it happened to the "Episodes" page it started earlier that they were not sortable anymore all of a sudden if you had too many shows and now free users have a 50 show limit. You can follow more shows but only 50 will be shown in the Episodes page. Before this was all free and now I have to pay for it. Like I said I dont have much money to spend and cant afford a premium account.

And this is not my real account I made this account to post this cmomment (and oh yeah I was smart enough to hide my real IP) because I noticed before on other sites if you criticize the owner or admins they like to give you bans and take away your post. Most of them cant stand criticism. SO I wonder how long it takes before this post is gone from the site.

Don't know where you're getting this from, but this is nowhere near what is happening here :)

The limit you're talking about happened a year or more ago and along with the export of some feeds (which was taking a huge toll on the server) is one of the very rare cases this happened (free feature got included in Premium membership).

I get the criticism though and I'm trying to avoid this as much as I can.

This message I get since a few weeks and it never got there before and I had way over 50 shows all that time But they all showed in the episodeds list. I am using this service for many years even bought.

ANd I understand you make expenses and they need to be covered and I accept you put new feature behind a "paywall" but not existing features. And this one was the seconds one. Because in the past I could also sort the Episode List. I dont remember when this got changed but I found a workaround for it. BUt the 50 show limit like you can see in the screenshot I put on imgur you is just recent and no way around it then to pay or make this site useless for me. People who do things like that are just big fat money wolfs Like all sites start out free and then they need some money to cover expenses and I get all of that. But then the next step they start to earn money and get dollar signs in their eyes and want just everyone to pay for it.

Hey Santah, really appreciate everything you have done for this site so far. I can think of a few things that would make life even easier but i understand if these functions aren't at the top of your todo list.

- On the mobile site i would love to see my custom search engines. (Maybe also in the app?)
- Maybe a dark theme for night people like me. (Even if it's just in the app)
- I would really like to change my username.

I would have never imagined this site to last as long as it has but it only gets better. Thanks again.

A big "Boo!" on those guys who want to suspend snow because they don't have any. Look, just because you don't get to have snow during Christmas doesn't mean you must foist your miserable outlook on the rest of us. You get to sit on warm beaches instead ... Lucky! Focus on that, guys.

I want the interface to be updated to look a little modern. It's a little 90's with the most of it in HTML or css or whatever... I don't know what other sites use, but their fonts are softer, menus are more rounded, colors are more easy on the eyes, etc.

Also I want suggestions for shows to follow based on shows I already follow, kinda like netflix.

Thank you, Santah, for en excellent site that I use every day. If there is one extremely small thing to complain about, it is this news with commentaries. When I have read through the new entries, I have to remember (ok, not a big one) how many comments there is until next time. But the "problem" is the scrolling I have to do to get to the top. Yes, I could use the Home-button on the keyboard, but I would really like a close button on the bottom or at least a "Move to the top"-button. Thanks again, not a biggie, but a small annoyance.

I'm a free user and definitely getting my money's worth. I would like to see the calendar screen expanded to include either an extra week on both sides of the current month or at least fill in the empty blocks to complete the week on both sides of the current month. Most of my TV watching is on demand so I tend to need what I missed in the last week or so.

I am somewhat surprised that anybody cares at all about the snow. I can only assume that the comments are made in jest, and that is the position I will adopt, because to think otherwise would be a concern :) As for the premium vs free discussion, it is your site Santah and your decision how to fund it, I am happy to pay for premium, I use the site every day. I love the site. Best money I ever spent. Not sure why Venatalte can't afford to pay for premium but I'll be happy to pay for him/her.
Going back to the actual topic of this post: I would like to see Plex integration, so when I watch an episode or a movie on Plex, it is automatically marked as watched in my List. Also, if you can fix the Formula One Qualifying and Racing episodes, that would be amazing. They have not been updated since 2015.

Unfortunately F1 series are not available on thetvdb.com and tvmaze.com and we cannot get schedule data from them. Those were available on tvrage.com back in the day, but that service is no longer running.

As for Plex - if someone is willing to develop the add-on - I'll provide them with the API for that. I may have to look more actively for that someone :)
