By popular demand, there is now a new feature in the sitewide settings that allows hiding series in certain languages.

Once you've selected the languages to ignore, shows in these language will be hidden from: the homepage (if "Include shows not in my watchlist when in their 1st season" is enabled) and the homepage discovery widget, recent, calendar, browse, the TV Schedule and the discovery charts - hot | upcoming | trending | top from my creators | recommended.

Basically, ignoring a language hides all shows in it everywhere possible. Let me know how that works for you!

Be aware that some Netflix Shows are dubbed in english (maybe in certain countries)

Nice, but wouldn't a whitelist method be kinda easier to code in? There apparently are almost 200 major languages and it would be easier to, for example, just add English and German into a "show only" whitelist instead of clicking what to remove and periodically check if anything new was added. Anyway, it's still an awesome feature that finally lets me get rid of all animes and Korean "writer's strike void filler" series.

Nice. Could the same thing be done for genres?

EDIT: There also seems to be some issues with this. Looking at Discovery Chart - Hot. In animation I have 10 pages of recommended series, in different languages. If I filter out Japanese only 2 shows remain, one of which is in English, the other in Japanese. Many English-spoken series are filtered out (for example Scavenger's Reign, Krapopolis and Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake).
Filtering out Korean instead still only leaves two shows, one in English (the same series as when filtering out Japanese) and one in Korean.
Doing the same test but for other genres gives the same result.

Language is irrelevant? Thats what subtitles are for...?
But country of origin/produced by (and therefore quality) - thats interesting, or not!?

Examples
I have seen series i really liked in:
-> english UK/US/AU/NZ, spanish, french, danish, swedish, iclandish, norwegian, japanese, koriean, chinese and maybe more?

And some productions are often linked to only one country
- like german productions are in german - and i do not like them (i am german, and they are ALL rubbish 40+ years worth of shite!)
BUT:
- i may like english/spanish/portuguese production but would NOT like them if mexican or southamerican produced...
- i would not like a german or russian production, even if they are in english....
then there are multi langual production...

So a Blacklist/Whitelist filtiering the (main) producing country ... that would make sense?!

@Bananijoe, it's for people, like me, who may want to watch foreign shows, but not specific languages.

For example, I like to watch some Korean TV shows, but not Chinese ones. Being able to remove all Chinese ones from my list helps with looking for new shows.

Cool feature, thanks. I may pull the trigger on Thailand, as I've yet to add one from there and there seem to be tons.
@Bananajoe check out https://next-episode.net/deutschland-83 for some far from rubbish german. https://next-episode.net/barbarians-2020 was also pretty good. I know I've seen more decent German shows but can only think of those off the top of my head.

This sounds like something I'm going to love! I can't say that I'm interested in, for example, Turkish shows and being able to remove them will make searching for new shows a bit faster.

This is a great feature and very easy to use. Thank you for implementing it.
I like the idea of @littlemonkey to do the same with genres. I second that.

I will definitely use this to look for non-english shows to watch! ... Not sure how else I would even find foreign shows? ("Production Region"?)

Well, right now my favorite favorites are C-Dramas. They are much more important to me than even K-Dramas which I really enjoyed for a while. I can't think of any specific language I would exclude in fact I look for the programs I watch. I think that might work well or best for some applications I suppose.

Unbelievable... People would miss on some excellent foreign TV shows just because too lazy to read subtitles?? Would not even think of such "feature". Ever.
