Wed Oct 30, 2024 - New features - My Streaming Services, filter and streaming availability in lists

To help you navigate the messy world of streaming services availability, Next Episode has a few new features:

All lists (search, browse, top/discovery charts, watchlist, track episodes) now also show streaming availability
You can now filter by streaming services availability
In addition, you can add the streaming services you use to My Services and filter through that as well

This is not just for US - your country should've been automatically detected, but if not - you can easily switch it here.

Basically, it should now be easier than ever to find out where your stuff is streaming and find new great shows on the streaming services you use. Our movies section will get the same treatment soon.

I think for me it would be easier to block the channel that I don't want to see. So I could block the food channels, kids cartoon networks and the like that will never show anything that I want to see.

Especially not being in the USA, some thing pop up on different channels so hard to catch them all. But it's better than nothing so thanks.

If you filter through "My Streaming Services" it'll list the shows available on those services.

If these shows are available on multiple streaming services, along with yours - it'll show the icons for the other services as well.

@Santah: regarding your comment @Citthedit: how about (when someone has set My Streaming Services at https://next-episode.net/settings?action=streamingservices) greying out the streaming services *not* selected (or only showing them in black and white)?

I boast to all my friends how useful this site is. I have used it for years. Then I finally was able to afford a year's fee for the first time. Thx so much and I sure hope more people sign up for the year fee because it is cheap and so informative.

@ArniVidar, @rlo - these are the countries that JustWatch provides streaming info for (for now, new ones are added all the time)

@shelwood, TeaAndApathy - the list is sorted by "Popularity" so services that are used the most are on top.

ArniVidar - which "list"? If you look at their region picker dropdown (which is what matters for the streaming services availability) - it's the same as ours.

@TeaAndApathy - it's helpful because normally users use 1 or 2 services and having them on (or near the) top is optimal. I may separate the most used services (Max, Netflix, Apple+, Prime), put them on top and sort the rest below - by name.

Thank you so much for this new addition to the site.

Although I know I can set the service manually, I would love to have that feature on the episode list as well.
Any given evening I use that list to decide what to watch next, so knowing what service I need to go to would be great.

@santah: The bottom of the JustWatch homepage has a list of countries it's available for, and that list is much longer than your list of countries. I assume that it being available for country X means that it has information regarding country X. No?

@ArniVidar - turns out you're correct Arni! There were some inconsistencies in the way the data was provided, so once I dug deeper I was able to discover what is going on and fix it. All these countries will now show up in here as well!
