This show follows outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleon Sarah, portrayed by Tatiana Maslany. After witnessing a woman's suicide, Sarah assumes the stranger's identity, who happens to look just like her.
Attention, Clone Club: “Orphan Black” is getting a post-TV afterlife.
Temple Street Productions, the production company behind the sci-fi thriller, inked a deal with premium digital fiction startup Serial Box to create a brand-new installment, “Orphan Black: The Next Chapter” — continuing the story of the clone sisterhood and their allies (and enemies) after the end of the TV show.
Tatiana Maslany, the Emmy-winning star of “Orphan Black” who portrayed 14 different clones on the show, is on board to voice the new episodes. The 10-episode series will be available later this summer in audiobook and text formats exclusively from Serial Box. Boat Rocker Studios, the parent of Temple Street, is an investor in Serial Box.
Agreed! It's an absolute travesty that the last post prior to yours was over three years ago. Excellent show, even better cast, and a whole lot of fun! Tatiana Maslany is a true master of illusions, and has displayed ultimate wizardry when it comes to her craft throughout all 4+ years of Orphan Black.
Does anyone know exactly how many clones she played. I stated 13 above, jokingly.
Excluding Charlotte of course; Aryanna, Janika, and Danielle were only shown in photos.
Another question, who was the hottest clone? Sarah? Cosima? Allison? Helena? Crystal?
Rachel? No definitely not Rachel, too evil. Maybe one of the other clones?
The evil dominatrix of course! They don't call her Rachel "Dominatrix" Duncan simply because it sounds good. ;)

Nobody is talking about this show anymore?
After 4 years, I still love it. But I am glad and a little sad this is the final season.
A planned and proper ending after 5 seasons is all a successful show can hope for.
And with only 1 more episode left to watch, it'll be time to bring in something new.
Tatiana Maslany is simply awesome. Well she is 13 of the hottest women on TV. LOL
But really, she didn't just portray all these different characters, there were also many
of these characters that evolved into completely different personalities. And she done
it brilliantly, each and every one.

The fingerprint error is typical of TV writers who have a superficial knowledge of a subject and fill in any gaps in their knowledge with guesses. Happens a lot and it's only annoying to those who know the subject well.

Just started this, watching s01e03 now. Really enjoying it but: The 'fingerprints being the same' thing really pisses me off. Fingerprints are formed in the womb, they aren't remotely genetic. They'd have to specifically manipulate the fetuses.

Yeah, it used to be just NY (the first "Hollywood" a century ago) and LA. Now several states are following BC and Louisiana to offer incentives for video production to set up shop.

Orphan Black is a good example of how Canada has become, in the last decade, a major player in the production of quality TV programming. Decades of tax incentives to bring US TV and movie productions to Canada has helped develop the local talent to US levels. That's rare, because for the last half century the US has dominated production of world class (as in it easily sells worldwide) video programming. Cheaper production tools (digital cameras and editing) are making it possible for other countries to develop competitive international video and the Internet provides a way to publicize the new players. Lots of good new stuff is coming out of this and it will be coming from everywhere, not just NY and southern California.
Agreed...Canada has come into it's own...
And to a little degree, Louisiana...

:P Ok, I'll give you that one. I meant more like the series it self. Best drama series awards and such.
