Outcast centers on Kyle Barnes, who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a spiritual journey to find answers, but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.
Surprisingly good first episode! But i'm a sucker for shows/movies with demonic themes. But as lollie said, seemingly good cast, well acted and interesting characters with a lot of story to go on.

Show has potential - the cast are likeable and playing it straight. Nothing too ridiculous has happened yet with the possessed ones (but hopefully we'll see more weirdness as show goes on).
Going to keep watching this one, my gut feelings say this one is going to be a nice little drama with horror undertones. Will love to see how they expand on this and in what directions. Also, I always did have a soft spot for possession horror.

Outcast is the spooky new show from Robert Kirkman, best-known for creating The Walking Dead. It airs on Cinemax starting June 3, but the first episode is now available for viewing on a variety of platforms, including YouTube, Facebook and HBO and Cinemax's On Demand services.
That level of accessibility signals the network's confidence in the Image Comics adaptation, which it describes thusly:
OUTCAST follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a journey to find answers but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.
Patrick Fugit (Gone Girl) plays the haunted Kyle Barnes, with Grace Zabriskie (Twin Peaks) and Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation) among the supporting cast. Rising horror talent Adam Wingard (You're Next, The Guest) directs episode one, which you can view right now if you have an hour to spare and don't scare too easily:
I usually like to wait for a season to reach near it's conclusion before starting the binge but I may give this one the Colony treatment and give the pilot a go later on today. I haven't read the comics as of yet but it's highly on my to-do list. If you haven't already, and you happen to be a fan of the comics, you might want to add this to your list and give it a shot.
