Set in the year 2199, a young woman who has lost everything finds a new life at Earth's Space Training Academy where she learns to defend the galaxy from intergalactic threats.
Still watching it with some kind of perverse fascination...
Initially, season 2 actually seemed better than 1, because they dropped most of their B-plots and characters, leaving it less all over the place. Unfortunately, they are now replacing them with other redundant characters and B-plots.
The production value is still incredibly low. I think I once spotted a greenscreen being used for "4 people standing around in a random forest".

including the stupid choice of music at the beginning when her home is destroyed nearly turned it off there and then.
Agreed, that was kinda off.
It sounded like a scrambled version of a familiar theme to me... maybe one of the Star Wars ones?
At least, then, they got the "My family just got killed brutally. Let's go on wacky space adventures!" part down.
This still happens every once in a while; I think I recognized the intro theme of a Star Trek show at some point, either Voyager or DS9, just being awkwardly used as background music.

Have people here abandoned this show or too embarrassed to admit they watch it? ;) I am not sure which is the worst - Pandora or The Walking Dead: World Beyond. That ditzy clone-girl has gone from Pandora. Shame.

Rest easy, Deck Sergeant Elias :'(

The scriptwriter could have used a little more effort and made it properly good, at least it was an attempt I guess...but yeah, show needs better/bigger in general.
The show mostly needs to figure out what it is about.
The acting is usually alright, most characters are at least conceptually okay and there definitely has been some proper worldbuilding.
The plots are extremely predictable but even that does not have to be a bad thing.
Right now, however, this show constantly, randomly bounces around in regard to what kind of story it wants to tell.
It tries to be some free-spirited college thing, then abruptly shifts into some kind of espionage/mystery theme, usually ending in some poorly executed action scenes, just to go back to being some college thing. Weird teen drama subplots awkwardly mixed in.
Absolutely nothing here feels organic.
Which is a shame, because as said before: there are a few decent shows that could have been made from this instead.
Yep.
I think the scriptwriter is kind of awful. The cast has to say some really dumb things, and act in dumb ways.

That's a good summary. :) Too bad nobody had those insights before starting production...

The show needs more Marcus and Elliot.
I don't understand what you mean, but what it really needs is a bigger budget! :)
Last episode, those two :3 were actually almost funny.
