Match of the Day 2
This is a football highlights programme shown on BBC Two in the United Kingdom. It was created in 2004 when the BBC regained the right to broadcast Premier League highlights.
Broadcast on Sunday evenings, usually later than 10 p.m., it is advertised as a "light-hearted look at the Premier League's action", referring to its more fan focused presentational style than the Saturday night version. Launched with an anchor of Adrian Chiles and analysis from two pundits. Adrian Chiles became popular in this role. In 2010 he was replaced by Colin Murray who left Channel 5 to take up the position at the beginning of the 2010/11 season and to also host the BBC World Cup coverage in 2010.
Countryfile
This is a Sunday-morning television programme by the BBC which first aired in 1988 and reports on rural and environmental issues within the United Kingdom. It is presented primarily by John Craven, with reports from a pool of presenters. The issues which it addresses are generally those within the rural public consciousness of the UK, such as animal-culling, fox hunting, organic farming, EU agricultural policy, pollution, and open access land, and as such the nature of the programme is often highly political, sometimes airing debates between pressure groups. In recent years, the show has hardly featured farming issues, and concentrates on rural arts and sports, using recorded segments which are often repeated several times over a period of a year or two.
The Apprentice: You're Fired!
Dara O'Briain offers a chance to catch up with the show's freshly rejected candidate, who reveals what it's really like to be in the firing line.
