Toriko
Toriko is a hunter of precious foods regularly hired by restaurants and the rich. Princess Jellyfish
Amamizukan is an apartment complex where no boys are allowed. Tsukimi, a girl who adores jellyfish, lives there happily with her friends who all have nerdy obsessions of their own. Their peaceful lives gradually start to change when a beautiful woman helps Tsukimi out of a pinch. She stays overnight at the apartments-but it turns out "she" is really a "he".
Natsume Yujin-Cho
For as long as he can remember Natsume Takashi has had the ability to see spirits called Youkai, but learned never to speak about it to anyone. After being bounced around from relative to relative he finally goes back to the village where his grandmother once lived. His grandmother also had the ability to see youkai and when he receives a book called the Yujincho or 'Book of Friends' he finally understands why he can see these spirits. His grandmother collected the spirits, and made them sign contracts and that is what is keeping them close to Natsume. Takashi finally has a purpose, to free the names of the spirits from the book.
With Nyanko, a youkai trapped in the body of a 'Lucky Cat' statue, as his teacher and protector he sets out to empty the book and protect it from those who would take it's power for themselves.
Lovely Complex
Koizumi Risa has always been taller than most girls, and her longtime friend, Atsushi Ootani, has always been shorter than most boys. Each Mamodo needs a human partner in order to use his or her spell book, a book that seals the powers of the Mamodo. If the spell book is burned, the Mamodo is forced to return to the Mamodo world. The last Mamodo standing without their book burnt is the new Mamodo king.
Carried by the Wind: Tsukikage Ran
This series details the adventures of a wandering female samurai and a Chinese martial arts "expert" who playfully refers to herself as Myao-oneesan.
Tsukikage Ran, the main character, is a female ronin whose swordsmanship is second to none, while Myao's commands the often amusing but deadly display of NekoTekken (Cat Iron Fist). Together, they form an unstoppable crime fighting duo.
Each episode builds up to an amazing sword-action sequence which are all spectacularly animated and choreographed, with comic relief supplied by the oft boastful and hilariously over-the-top Myao.
The series plays with many themes typical to "feudal-Japan-anime" like corruption, Yakuza, and the search for really good sake.
One Piece (JP)

Now and Then, Here and There
Shu is a typical Japanese boy, but has an unbeatable, optimistic and determined attitude. However, when he sees a mysterious girl with strange eyes named Lala-Ru up on a smokestack, he is soon pulled into a strange desert world. Shu soon discovers the true terrors of war, which includes genocide, brutal torture, hunger, thirst, and child exploitation. Now Shu is trying to save Lala-Ru, as well as his hard earned, and often reluctant, new friends from the insane dictator, Hamdo. Whether Shu can possibly accomplish saving those he cares about while still holding up to his values remains to be seen.
