In Podlasie a teenage boy is kidnapped. Adam Kruk, inspector of the Lodz crime department, is at the same time posted to Bialystok. After many years, he returns to the city where he grew up, where he will have to face not only the case of the kidnapped boy, but also the dark side of his past.
