The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians was the newest incarnation of the long-standing Super Friends series based on the DC Comics. Like its predecessor, SuperFriends: The Legendary Super Powers show, Galactic Guardians featured Adam West as Batman as well as showcasing relatively new superheroes Firestorm and Cyborg as well as members of previous SuperFriend incarnations (Samurai, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Hawkman). The show featured Darkseid of Apokolips and his minions Kalibak and DeSaad as the primary protagonists. Other DC villains (the Joker, Lex Luthor, the Penguin, Felix Faust, etc.) also appeared from time to time dring relatively short lived series.

The Snorks are a race of small, colorful beings that live happily in the (saltwater) underwater world of Snorkland. They have snorkels on their heads, which are used to propel them swiftly through the water. As evidenced by the cartoon series, when a Snork becomes excited their tube makes a "snork" sound. They have much of the same technology as contemporary humans, adapted to their own aquatic environment. The Snorks use clams as currency ("clams" is also a slang term for money).

The Pink Panther and Sons is a Hanna-Barbra produced spin-off of the much more popular The Pink Panther Show. This time the panther is joined by his three sons: Pinky and Panky. Ironically all of the Pink Panther's sons can talk, but the Pink Panther himself is still a mute.

The Biskitts are a group of tiny anthropomorphic dogs who live on Biskitt Island and are committed to guarding the crown jewels of Biskitt Castle. Modeled after Robin Hood, the Biskitts still serve their recently deceased king while performing good deeds for the underprivileged inhabitants of their tiny island. In the narration it is explained that due to their good reputation for responsibility and security, other kings have entrusted their treasures to be safeguarded by the Biskitts. The villain of the series is the king's mean-spirited younger brother, King Max, who rules the neighboring Lower Suburbia. Why Max isn't crowned the new ruler of the Biskitts is never explained (although it is presumed the old king barred Max from succeeding him on account of Max's mean nature). In lieu of a proper coronation, Max constantly schemes to steal the jewels with the help of his hench-hounds Fang & Snarl and his jester Shecky (although Shecky was rather dimwitted and not always loyal to Max, as he even made friends with a Biskitt who shared his love of practical jokes). Biskitts are also in danger of being captured and eaten by a large wildcat named Scratch.
