The Colbys was a spin off from the popular prime time soap opera Dynasty. Jeff Colby leaves Denver to be closer to his family in California. The series starred Charlton Heston as Jason Colby. Jeff was joined on the show by his on screen wife from Dynasty, Fallon Carrington Colby.
Set primarily on Drogheda, a fictional sheep station in the Australian outback, the story focuses on three generations of the Cleary Family and spans the years 1920 to 1962.
Set in San Joaquin Valley during the 1870s, this show follows the lives of the Barkleys, one of the richest families in Stockton. Victoria Barkley, a recent widow, leads the family, including her sons, Jarrod and Nick, daughter, Audra, and step-son, Heath, as they run their ranch, groves, and logging business.
Jarrod is a well-known lawyer with two prominent offices, and often helps the family sort out their legal troubles. Nick, an aggressive, outspoken rancher, runs the family's holdings and minds the ranch. Audra is caring and a talented horseback rider. Heath, who manages the family's possessions, is quieter than his other siblings, but will stand up to them if needed.
Through the heartache, robberies, kidnappings, illnesses, and the times of joy, the Barkleys continued to be a strong family, dependent on each other, through the good and the bad.
