Días mejores follows Sara, a mother who suddenly finds herself a widow and unable to comfort her troubled young son. She finds help with a therapy group of very distinct characters who are all struggling with similar personal tragedy, among them a down-and-out rock musician forced to take care of the teenage kids he long ago abandoned, a seemingly in-control chief exec desperately trying to keep up a facade, and a lonely young woman who wishes to have the child of her lost love.

A police inspector tries to find out who has murdered numerous inmates who could have been released from prison thanks to the cancellation of the controversial Parot doctrine.

A man ends up in hospital after a car accident. He does not remember his name, but it is soon discovered he is a famous attorney. To make things worse, the police starts to suspect him of having murdered his missing niece.

The series revolves around a chef who faces the difficult challenge of saving from ruin one of the worst restaurants in the country: a beach bar that had better times and is run by a family clan.

As the series evolved other characters joined the crew as some of the initial ones gradually disappeared, among the new ones were the waiter Gonzalo who eventually married Carlota, his promiscuous little sister Vero, or Sole's other son Félix.
