A former professional football player retires to his hometown of Evening Shade, Ark., and settles into a new job as coach of a high-school football team with a long losing streak.
B.L. Stryker
B.L. (Buddy Lee) Stryker is an ex-cop from New Orleans who returns home to Palm Beach to retire and live in a tacky old houseboat. Rita Moreno plays Kimberley Baskin, Stryker's ex-wife, who went onto marry a millionaire and now lives as a widow in Palm Beach. With his friend Oz, a former boxer, they get involved with helping the local police in the solving of mysteries. The series was created by Christopher Crowe. A character called Mitch Slade, a Ferrari driving private detective, was added as a in-joke for the series, because one of the series co-executive producers was Tom Selleck.
Out of This World
This show revolved around a teenager, who was a little different from most: she was half-alien! She had the ability to stop time. Unfortunately, her father (the alien) was not around to guide her, though she could communicate with him.
Dan August
Dan August wasn't received very well in the ratings, but shortly after Burt Reynolds' career took off, then the show's ratings went up too. Several episodes were combined into feature films and were released due to the celebrity of its lead actor. All in all Dan August was another one of those police/detective shows of the 70's.

The Academy Awards
The Academy Awards honors the best in the film industry. Each time, the Oscar trophies are given to honor the best films of that year. Each January, the the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences would give announce it's nominations and give out the golden statues in March. This annual events has been held since 1929.
