Impulse
Based on the third novel in the Jumper series by Steven Gould, "Impulse" is about a rebellious 16-year-old girl who has always felt different from her peers and has longed to escape from her seemingly quaint small town.
When a local drug dealer attempts to assault her, she discovers she has the extraordinary ability to teleport. This newfound power confirms her conviction that she really is different from everybody else, but it now makes her the focus of those who want to control her.
Star Trek: Discovery
Alex Kurtzman, co-writer and producer of 2009's "Star Trek" and sequel "Star Trek Into Darkness," will executive produce the series alongside Heather Kadin, with whom Kurtzman executive produces on CBS dramas "Scorpion" and "Limitless." The updated series will introduce new characters "seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966," reads the press release.
The Man in the High Castle
Producers Ridley Scott and Stewart Mackinnon bring us a startling depiction of an alternate history as imagined by author Philip K. Dick in his best-selling novel; a world in which Nazi Germany and Japan were victorious in World War II. The year is 1962 and the Axis Powers occupy the United States, where fascism rules and the few surviving Jews hide under assumed names.
The Firm
Based on John Grisham's famous novel of the same name, the pilot episode will pick up ten years after the movie left off with Mitch McDeere coming out of the Federal Witness Protection Program after taking down a Memphis law firm run by the mob.
Shattered
Ben Sullivan is a tough, smart homicide detective with Dissociative Identity Disorder, also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Ben copes with the fascinating complexities of his secret disorder, and the uncertainty of never knowing which alternate personality will surface, or when.
Tin Man
This is a bizarre, post-modern version of The Wizard of Oz. Zooey Deschanel stars as the main character who finds herself trapped in a place called O.Z. - the Outer Zone.
Due South
In this popular series that ran from 1994 to 1996, Benton Fraser comes to Chicago in an attempt to find out who killed his father. After solving the murder, he decides to stick around and work for the local Canadian consulate.
