A conspiracy thriller about a group of people who come into possession of a manuscript sequel to a graphic novel called, "The Utopia Experiments." The novel has made accurate predictions about some of the world's greatest atrocities. Because the group holds the manuscript, a mysterious opposing group called "The Network" tries their best to find them. Meanwhile, the good guys must try to stop the next event from occurring.

One Dollar is a mystery/thriller set in a small rustbelt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder. The path of the dollar bill, and point of view in each episode, paints a picture of a modern American town with deep class and cultural divides that spill out into the open as the town's secrets get revealed.

The show is set against the backdrop of the clandestine mission to build the world's first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico and follows the brilliant but flawed scientists and their families as they attempt to co-exist in a world where secrets and lies infiltrate every aspect of their lives.
