Les Misérables

Jekyll and Hyde
Inspired by the original novella by Robert Louis Stevenson and penned by Higson, Jekyll & Hyde is set in 1930s London and will follow Robert Jekyll, the grandson of Henry Jekyll, on his quest to discover his real identity, his true family history and the nature of his ‘curse’ – which his foster father, Dr Vishal Najaran, is controlling with medication. His journey will take him into a dark and unforgiving place, as his alter ego seems capable of anything. At the same time there are shadowy forces trying to find Jekyll and the source of his powers.

BBC Drama production for BBC Two, stars Harry Potter franchise alumna Katie Leung as Mei, a first-born Chinese girl adopted by English parents, who gets called back to Guangzhou when her birth mother desperately seeks her assistance in saving her son. How far will Mei go to help the woman who gave her away and the brother she's never met? "One Child is a deeply affecting work that delves into the heart of a human struggle," said SundanceTV President Sarah Barnett. "It tells the story of an ordinary young woman who is plunged into a situation that challenges her to her core".
The Suspicions of Mr Whicher
The Suspicions of Mr Whicher is based on Kate Summerscale's account of a Victorian murder case that shocked the whole country.
Detective Inspector Jack Whicher finds himself traveling to a remote country house where he investigates the murder of a young child. He soon manages to discover a web of lies and concealment amid the family living there, which he thinks vindicates the police's chief suspect in the murder case.
Tess of the D'Urbervilles
This is a 4 hour British television miniseries adaptation from 2008 based on Thomas Hardy's classic novel from 1891. The story follows the poverty stricken young country woman Tess (Played by Gemma Arterton) who tries to improve her life and social status upon realizing her family is connected to the extremely wealthy D'Uberville family.
