Alex Kurtzman, co-writer and producer of 2009's "Star Trek" and sequel "Star Trek Into Darkness," will executive produce the series alongside Heather Kadin, with whom Kurtzman executive produces on CBS dramas "Scorpion" and "Limitless." The updated series will introduce new characters "seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966," reads the press release.

In an alternate 1930's Prohibition-era New York City, it's not liquor that is outlawed but the future production of highly sentient robots known as automatons. The surviving automatons are given basic civil rights, living among us as an underclass of social outcasts, the victims of human prejudice and strict laws governing their existence. Automata follows former NYPD detective turned private eye Sam Regal and his incredibly smart automaton partner, Carl Swangee. Together, they work to solve the case and understand each other in this dystopian America.

Written and produced by Robert Rodat and Steven Spielberg, this show takes place after an alien race has wiped out the majority of the human population. A group of soldiers ban together to try to stand up against the alien force.

Dragon Age: Redemption is a six-episode web series created by and starring Felicia Day, about elven assassin Tallis, who is hunting down a renegade mage. The success of the mission is of the utmost importance to Tallis, who risks having her freedom taken away if she fails. Realizing that she can't do it all by herself, she enlists allies to help her. The series takes place in Ferelden, the same setting of the video game Dragon Age: Origins, and at the same time as the events of Dragon Age 2 and its DLC Mark of the Assassin, which also features Tallis.
