Eddie Murphy

An annual award show that recognize achievement in television for the current year. It first aired on January 25, 1949 and has been aired annually ever since. Today, the Emmys air as the Daytime Emmy Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Thurgood Stubbs is the chief superintendent in a housing project, living with his wife, Murief. The show, which was created by Eddie Murphy, follows the adventures of the Stubbs family and others in the building, animated through the process of 'foamation.'

The MTV Movie Awards is a film awards show presented annually on MTV (Music Television). It also contains movie parodies that used official movie footage with hosts and other celebrities and music performances.

Since 1984, MTV came up with a new awards show for the year's top and new pop music videos. Now known as the VMA's, it was traditionally held on the first Thursday of September on the East or West coast. But since 9/11, it has been moved to the previous week. Every year there is a host and performances by the nominees and newer artists.

A late-night comedy show featuring several short skits, parodies of television commercials, a live guest band, and a pop-cultural guest host each week. Many of the SNL players have spun off successful independent comedy and/or movie careers from here.
