In the late 1960s, Alexander falls head over heels for the confident, free-spirited Ellen. When, after a beautiful night of love, she finds out that Alexander's father, Frans Münninghoff, was an SS man during the war, she disappears from his life… only to reappear a good month later. She is pregnant. But in order to build a future together, he will first have to confront his repressed and eventful family past. After a lonely and unhappy childhood in an atmosphere of whitewashing and lies, he actually knows very little about his family, dominated by his powerful, very wealthy grandfather. What follows is a search for the truth about his strange, dysfunctional family with not only shocking discoveries but also heartwarming encounters. High Flyers tells the story of Rutger, Guus, and Laila. We follow them during their years of heavy training to become a fighter pilot in the Royal Dutch Air Force, and we're with them when they finally go on a dangerous mission in the Middle East. We stand close to these friends in their eventful journey to adulthood, we share their camaraderie, their grief, their joy, love, and fear, in times of peace and times of war.

A heavy northwestern storm is heading towards The Netherlands and Belgium and threatens to break dikes and flood the lower areas of the two countries.

North / South is about Amsterdam detective Dana, played by Ariane Schluter, who uses her background as a psychologist in solving crimes. After her divorce from Wouter, with whom she has been married for 19 years, she tries with her daughter Rose, an adolescent of 16, to shape her life again. Dana is team leader of the investigation team.
