This is the story of the Chain Chronicle, a book that describes everything that happens in the world. The citizens of the remote continent of Yggd once thought that there was nothing beyond their continent. The continent was divided into several regions, each with its own king. Though there were small skirmishes amongst them, a lord, chosen by the kings in conference, always maintained balance, until the evil Black Army arrived. The Volunteer Army, led by Yuri, was no match for the Black Army. During the fighting, the Lord of Black captures half of the Chain Chronicle, as well as the capital.

ACCA is a TV series set in the kingdom of Dowa, which is divided into 13 states. The states have many agencies controlled by the giant organization known as ACCA. Jean Otis is the second-in-command of the inspection agency. His agency has ten people placed in each of the 13 states, with a central office in the capital city. They keep track of all the activities of ACCA across the kingdom.

The heroine, Komori Yui, was a normal teenage girl. In her second year of high school, Yui's father, a priest, moves somewhere else for his work. As a result, Yui is forced to move to a new town and arrives alone at a mansion she was told will be her new home. As she approaches the front door it begins to rain. Because no one answers her knock, she reaches for the knob, but the door swings open of its own accord. Yui enters the mansion to find no one in sight. As she starts to explore her immediate surroundings, she finds a young man(Ayato) asleep on a couch. He wakes up as she approaches him and promptly pins her down. As she begins to panic, five other young men gradually appear. Yui notices something different about all of them. She discovers that all six of them are brothers but by three different mothers, later revealed to be Beatrix (mother to Shu and Reiji), Cordelia (mother of the triplets Ayato, Kanato, and Raito), and Christa (mother to Subaru). However, these young men don't seem quite human. In fact, they all turn out to be vampires.

Using Dragon Ball Z's footage, the series has been remade in high definition and recut, removing most traces of filler for the sake of a faster pacing, sticking closer to the original manga work.

As the Bakuryuus Tyrannosaurus, Ptreranodon, and Triceratops attack Tokyo, a call is sent out to people who possess DinoGuts and the potential of gaining the power to tame the rampaging Bakuryuu. Together with their Bakuryuu partners, the three people recognized by the first three Bakuryuu become Abarangers to protect their dimension from the Evolians.
