This is a spectacular drama about the career of a British soldier during the Napoleonic wars. In the first episode, Rifleman Richard Sharpe (played by Sean Bean) saves the life of the Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Talavera and is commissioned from the ranks.
The Advocates
Set in Edinburgh, the series contrasts the high powered and respectable world of the lawyers and advocates of the Scottish legal profession, with the sleazy and deadly existence of the city s pimps, prostitutes and drug addicts.
When a young prostitute is murdered by a deadly drug overdose, only Doctor Joe Sangster, who has been treating her at the local health clinic, suspects foul play. In the growing climate of fear over drugs and aids in the city, his clinic faces closure due to a local campaign.
He turns to Greg McDowell for help, and the young lawyer sees the chance to make a name for himself.

Reilly: Ace of Spies
This British series is a dramatization of the fantastic real-life adventures, from 1903 until the mid-1920s, of the Russian-born British agent Sidney Reilly, who worked for MI6 as Agent ST-1. The programme is based on books by Robin Bruce Lockhart, the son of Reilly's fellow agent Sir Robert Bruce Lockhart. It was nominated for three BAFTA awards in 1984, and in 1985 Sam Neill received a Golden Globe nomination (Best Acting Performance) for his role as Reilly.
