The Gong Show is a revival of the 1970s and 1980s game show of the same name that aired on NBC in daytime and first-run syndication from 1976 to 1980 and 1988 to 1989. Every episode will feature non-traditionally talented performers plucked from the internet and put in front of a revolving panel of Hollywood judges, who will use a gong to interrupt bad performances.

This show is hosted by Dan Harmon, who "invests in a time machine and is subsequently visited by history's greatest minds. He then discusses their lives and brings them out into the modern world."

The show focuses on a geopolitical crisis and its effect on three disparate and desperate men: Walter Hollander, U.S. secretary of state, Alex Coppins, a lowly foreign service officer and Zeke Callahan, an ace Navy fighter pilot. These three compromised souls must pull through the chaos around them in order to save the planet from World War III.

The MTV Movie Awards is a film awards show presented annually on MTV (Music Television). It also contains movie parodies that used official movie footage with hosts and other celebrities and music performances.

Now known as the VMA's, it was traditionally held on the first Thursday of September on the East or West coast. But since 9/11, it has been moved to the previous week. Every year there is a host and performances by the nominees and newer artists.
