Inspired by Australia's radical response to AIDS in the 1980s, In Our Blood tells the story of a community grappling with a terrifying new disease. With no cure in sight, they realise they will need something truly radical to survive, trust.

Detective Jay Swan is assigned to investigate the mysterious disappearance of two young farm hands on an outback cattle station. One is a local Indigenous footy hero, and the other a backpacker. Working with local cop Emma James, Jay's investigation uncovers a past injustice that threatens the fabric of the whole community. A six part spin-off from Ivan Sen's feature films Mystery Road and Goldstone.

The six-episode series is set in the near future where a group of non-humans battle for survival in a world where humans feel increasingly inferior to them and want to silence, exploit and kill them. The central story revolves around two estranged indigenous brothers who are forced together to fight for their own survival. Otherworldly dreamtime creatures also emerge into this real world dystopian landscape.
