Jakob Cedergren

The show follows a small group of scientists on a remote base in Norway uncovers a mysterious rope, apparently endless, skirting their observatory and disappearing into the vast expanse of surrounding forest. Some will follow it, others will remain. As the initial fascination transforms into a quest to unravel the mystery, all will be confronted with the life-changing consequences of their choices.

This series is based on an original idea by best-selling Danish novelist Elsebeth Egholm. It follows the inquiries of a special unit at Copenhagen's police force, consisting of detective inspector Katrina Ries Jensen (Laura Bach) and forensic psychiatrist Thomas Schaeffer (Jakob Cedergren). The pair specialise in serial killers that do not fit within traditional behavioural patterns.

Based on the crime novels by Viveca Stens (which have not yet been translated from Swedish to English), The Sandhamn Murders centers on crimes committed on Sandhamn, a pictureque and idyllic island in the Stockholm archipelago. Each season is a story in three parts.
