The series stars Jennette McCurdy as Wiley Day, a pregnant teenage daughter of a minister living in the small town of Pretty Lake, which is coping with a mysterious disease which has killed everybody over the age of 21.
In the premise of the show, "Sam and Cat" buddy up as roommates and start a babysitting business to fund for their adventures after her best friend Carly Shay lift with her Dad to Itey after the last ICarly web cast ended.
Carly is a teenager who lives with her twenty-six year old brother and guardian Spencer, and produces her own web casts from a studio she constructed in the attic of her home. She does this not because she is looking for fame or fortune, but because she wants to be a good role model for kids and teens.
