Somewhere in medieval Flanders, the optimistic jester Diederik (Jens Dendoncker) and his half-sister Marie (Ayana Doucouré) find shelter in the castle of the newly crowned Countess Isabella van Haspengouw (Charlotte Timmers), who is determined to "modernize" her county after her father's death. Diederik gets his first permanent job there as a court jester. Marie becomes a chambermaid against her will. But secretly, she dreams of a position in the city guard.

Kassa kassa is a tragicomic series set in the Stans brothers' supermarket, a small, independent neighborhood grocery store on the brink of bankruptcy. The colleagues form a close-knit, warm group of friends, but their well-intentioned actions often make things even more difficult.
