Kazuma Horie

The series centers on a family where both parents are mad scientists, and where both brothers and sisters are modified humans who are called "creatures." The family members aim to become a "normal" family.

The story revolves around a 16-year-old boy (15 at the beginning of the story) named Mahiru Shirota who likes simple things and dislikes difficult things. One day, he picks up a stray black cat he finds in the middle of the road and gives it the name Kuro (which literally translates into "black"). From this moment on, a contract between the servamp Sleepy Ash and Mahiru is formed, and Mahiru is pulled into the Servamp war between the seven deadly Servamps and their eighth sibling Tsubaki.

For as long as he can remember Natsume Takashi has had the ability to see spirits called Youkai, but learned never to speak about it to anyone. After being bounced around from relative to relative he finally goes back to the village where his grandmother once lived. His grandmother also had the ability to see youkai and when he receives a book called the Yujincho or 'Book of Friends' he finally understands why he can see these spirits. His grandmother collected the spirits, and made them sign contracts and that is what is keeping them close to Natsume. Takashi finally has a purpose, to free the names of the spirits from the book. With Nyanko, a youkai trapped in the body of a 'Lucky Cat' statue, as his teacher and protector he sets out to empty the book and protect it from those who would take it's power for themselves.

This is an anime adaptation of a popular manga based on a fictional world with medieval technology. In this world, humans coexist with creatures called Yoma. The Yoma are sentient, shape-changing monsters that disguise themselves as and then feed on humans. By consuming a human brain, the Yoma can absorb the victim's memories, allowing them to infiltrate human circles without arousing the suspicions of their victim's close friends or family. In order to protect humans from the Yoma, a secret organization has created an order of superhuman warriors known as Claymores.

Zed is a 15-year-old boy with an affinity to trouble. Where ever he goes, trouble seems to find him. Zed has one dream, one wish: he wants freedom. He wants to feel the wind on his face. One day, while running from the authorities, he is transported, via a portal, to a new world, the world of "Shard Casters!" These warriors are able to use magic and control monsters called "Spirits" using magical crystals called "Shards." Zed does his best to be a Shard Caster, not realizing that something within him controls the future of the world.
