Steeltown Murders
The hunt to catch the killer of three young women in the Port Talbot area in 1973 and the remarkable story of how - in the first case of its kind - the mystery was solved almost 30 years later using pioneering DNA evidence. Contrasting the policing methods of the 1970s with the forensic breakthroughs of the early 2000s, the series portrays a town dealing with the repercussions of an unsolved case three decades on, and asks if justice can ever truly be found.
The Pembrokeshire Murders
In The Pembrokeshire Murders, the story centers around two unsolved double murders from the 1980s. In 2006, newly promoted Detective Superintendent Steve Wilkins decided to reopen both cases.
Employing pioneering forensic methods, Wilkins and his team found microscopic DNA and fibres that potentially linked the murders to a string of burglaries committed in the 80s and 90s. The perpetrator of those robberies was nearing the end of his prison sentence, but if Steve Wilkins was right, he was also a serial killer.
Could Steve and his team find enough forensic evidence to charge their suspect before he was released to potentially kill again?
Marcella
Marcella will get involved in a serial murder case where the modus operandi of the killer bares a striking resemblance to an unsolved spate of killings from a decade ago.
Talking to the Dead
A part thriller starring Sophie Rundle as a new female detective working her first case as part of the major crimes unit.
The Body Farm
Keith Allen plays Detective Inspector Hale in this Waking the Dead spin-off about a group of modern forensic scientists.
Robin Hood
An updated series following the life of Robin Hood and his Merry Men in Sherwood Forest. Together they steal from the rich and give to the poor - all the while avoiding their enemies Sir Guy of Gisborne and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Bodies
When Rob Lake (Max Beesley) begins work in a maternity unit, he soon comes to suspect that his new boss, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Roger Hurley, may be incompetent. He tries to turn a blind eye, but one of Hurley's blunders leads to a young mother being left brain-damaged and her baby stillborn. Rob watches a fellow doctor being hounded for attempting to bring the incompetence to light, seeing the ranks of the establishment join together to protect one of their own. He realizes he must risk his career to put a stop to Hurley's negligence. Meanwhile, his passionate affair with colleague Donna leaves him alternately confused and hungry for more.
This riveting medical drama series, starring Max Beesley, Keith Allen and Patrick Baladi developed a cult following with its gritty story lines and gruesome theater scenes, during its two series on BBC.
Martin Chuzzlewit
The main theme of the novel, according to a Preface by Dickens, is selfishness, portrayed in a satirical fashion using all the members of the Chuzzlewit family.
The Comic Strip Presents
The Comic Strip Presents is a hilarious TV series featuring the same team of actors each week. Every episode is a self-contained story that will leave you in stitches.
