People's Choice Awards
Every year, the People's Choice Awards grant awards based on the votes of the American public. Begun in 1975, the awards ceremony is broadcast on CBS.
The Grammy Awards
This award show honors those in the music business; from the performers, to the writers, to the producers.
These winners are from nominations of people who have thought these people have done outstanding and amazing work from the year behind. Doing extraordinary tasks for the artist or the artist doing extraordinary work to make them known, to get the music out there and make it their very own.
Each year the multiple hour episode is filled with a huge audience along with performers and presenters and of course, the host. Each and everyone of them makes it of what we look forward to every year.
American Music Awards
The American Music Awards show is one of several annual major American music awards shows (among the others are the Grammy Awards, the currently dormant Billboard Music Awards, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony).
CMA Awards
Country Music Awards honor the contributions made by country music artists, musicians, publishers, producers, video directors, song writers and technicians involved in the country music genre.
The Academy of Country Music Awards
The Academy of Country Music Awards were first held in 1966, honoring the industry's accomplishments during the previous year. It was the first country music awards program held by a major organization. The Academy's signature "hat" trophy was created in 1968. The awards were first televised in 1972 on ABC. In 1979, the Academy joined with Dick Clark Productions to produce the show. Dick Clark and Al Schwartz served as producers while Gene Weed served as director. Under their guidance, the show moved to NBC and finally to CBS, where it remains today.[1]
In 2003, the awards show left Los Angeles and moved to Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The show is now held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The Academy also adopted a sleeker, modern version of the "hat" trophy that year, and in 2004 the organization implemented online awards voting for its professional members, becoming the first televised awards show to do so.
