TV Series Starring Laurie Davidson
The Other Bennet Sister
It's the story of Mary Bennet - the seemingly unremarkable and overlooked middle sister in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Unlike her sisters, Mary isn't your typical period drama heroine. She is awkward, anxious, preachy, full of facts, and overlooked by her mother. She is seemingly destined to an empty dance card for the rest of her life, until Mary takes matters into her own hands.
The Girlfriend
Laura wants for nothing. She has a glittering career, a loving husband, Howard, and, above all, she has Daniel, her precious only son. But Laura's seemingly perfect life is blown apart when Daniel brings home Cherry, the girlfriend who changes everything. After an uncomfortable first meeting, Laura grows convinced that Cherry isn't who she says she is. While no one else can see what she sees, Laura refuses to stand by and watch Daniel be deceived. She'll do anything to protect him. As things go from bad to deadly, the question is, is Cherry a manipulative social climber? Or is Laura paranoid and possessive? The truth is a matter of perspective.
Ruth
Told over two parallel timelines, Ruth reveals secret truths about the case which have remained hidden for decades, poses tantalising questions about what really happened in the months before Ruth killed her lover David Blakely, and sheds light on the life of one of Britain's most infamous murderesses.
The drama depicts Ruth's entry into a dizzying upper class London world that promises so much, but ultimately delivers treachery. We follow her glamorous lifestyle as a young nightclub manageress, her abusive relationship with the man she later gunned down in cold blood, her arrest, trial and the subsequent legal fight to reprieve her before she was hanged by infamous hangman, Albert Pierrepoint, in Holloway Prison, aged just 28.
Masters of the Air
Masters of the Air, based primarily on Donald L. Miller's nonfiction novel Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany, telling the story of the aerial wars in WWII through the eyes of men of the Eighth Air Force, also known as the Mighty Eighth, who brought the war to Hitler's doorstep.
The Road Trip
The Road Trip is being helmed by Everything I Know About Love lead Emma Appleton, who plays Addie, heading out on a road trip to a friend's wedding in Spain when she and her sister are forced to share the ride with her ex Dylan, his irrepressible best friend Marcus, and complete stranger Rodney. With nowhere to hide but a creaky campervan, the group must confront their buried history as secrets and revelations cause many a bump in the road.
Guilty Party
Guilty Party is about a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn't commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past.
Will
The wild story of young William Shakespeare's arrival onto the punk rock theater scene that was 16th century London - the seductive, violent world where his raw talent faced rioting audiences, religious fanatics and raucous side-shows. It's the hot, contemporary, dangerous version of Shakespeare's life, played to a modern soundtrack, exposing all his recklessness, lustful temptations and brilliance.
The Last Kingdom
This eight-episode, hourlong historical drama series is adapted from Bernard Cornwell's best-selling novels, The Saxon Stories by writer Stephen Butchard.
