After spending over 20 years in prison for the murder of her friend Laura, Maja is released and returns to her hometown. At the age of 40, without a job or friends, he has no choice but to move back to his family home with his parents. Determined to leave the past behind and return to normal life, she tries to find her way among old corners and old acquaintances. She also clashes with the local community, which, however, remembers her mainly as a murderer from newspaper headlines.

"Friends", also known under the original title Przyjaciółki, is a Polish drama which premiered on 6 September 2012 on Polsat. The series follow the story of four friends who met in high school. Their paths then diverged. They meet again years later at a class meeting and realise that they need each other like they never did before. The action happens in Warsaw.

An unattractive, but smart girl starts working at a top fashion house, and winds up falling in love with her boss, while taking care of her sick father, teenage brother, and a much younger sister.
