After the dark days of winter, spring is nature's alarm call to bring everything back to life. It seems to come round like clockwork, but is that really so? John and Keeley investigate what makes springtime weather so special.

This is a Sunday-morning television programme by the BBC which first aired in 1988 and reports on rural and environmental issues within the United Kingdom. It is presented primarily by John Craven, with reports from a pool of presenters. The issues which it addresses are generally those within the rural public consciousness of the UK, such as animal-culling, fox hunting, organic farming, EU agricultural policy, pollution, and open access land, and as such the nature of the programme is often highly political, sometimes airing debates between pressure groups. In recent years, the show has hardly featured farming issues, and concentrates on rural arts and sports, using recorded segments which are often repeated several times over a period of a year or two.

Families considering relocating to the country are taken to different locations by the show's presenters as they decide where's best for them. Each Family chooses which area in England they want to look for a property in the country. A mystery house is also included.

The show first aired in 1964, were music fans lives were revolutionised. Currently the show, has a mixture of live performances, mixed with archive performances from a few weeks ago. Currently presented by Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates, Top of the Pops airs every Friday night at 7.30pm on BBC Their have been many spin-offs from Top of the Pops. Top of the Pops 2 Top of the Pops 2, had the voice talents of Radio DJ, Steve Wright, classic archive performances would be shown. Sometimes artists would film special clips to be shown throughout the 45 minute programme. Soon when Top of the Pops moves to Sundays on BBC 2, Top of the Pops 2's idea of archive performances will be mixed in with live new performances.
