Senna shows the trajectory of overcoming difficulties, disagreements, joys and sorrows of the three-time Formula 1 champion, exploring his personality and his personal relationships. The starting point will be the beginning of Ayrton's racing career, when he moves to England to compete in Formula Ford, until the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix.

The scripted drama will adapt Bernard Cornwell's trilogy of Arthurian novels, The Warlord Chronicles. In the first book, Derfel Cadarn, a former warrior sworn to Arthur and now an elderly monk, tells the story of how Arthur became warlord of Dark Age Britain despite illegitimacy to the throne.
