In the HGTV series Buying Back the Block. Mike and his wife, television producer and design enthusiast Kyra Epps, who've already transformed an abandoned firehouse on the block into their stunning new family home, will continue improving the neighborhood and restoring a sense of community with more property renovations. In the two one-hour episodes, the duo will update each house, adding modern amenities and keeping the original charm, to create affordable and beautiful places for families to buy or rent. Driven by his passionate vision, Mike will be hands-on as he oversees the projects, including the overhaul of his grandmother's house, alongside his expert construction team.  

The Upshaws centers on a working-class African American family in Indiana struggling to make it work and make it right without the blueprints to do it.

The show, like the movie, will center on a childish man, played in the film by John Candy, who learns how to be an adult by taking care of his brother's kids in a very childish way.

The show explores the complexity, comedy and drama of an experience that everyone reads about, but few understand - what truly happens when you make it out. Through a combination of God-given talent and north Philly grit, Cam Calloway and Reggie Vaughn have achieved fame and fortune that neither could have imagined growing up in one of the toughest neighborhoods in Philadelphia. But success comes with its own challenges, and the cousins and confidantes wrestle with the rewards of money, stardom, love, and occasionally, the guilt of having "made it".
