But for its leads, Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, the real horror was working together.

The Wayneys are an amazing family: good looking, MENSA smart, talented, athletic and popular to boot. Paige and Wayne Wayney have worked hard at raising "multi-exceptional" offspring and are proud of their children: Adam, Conner, Bentley and Derek. The show centers on the topic of teen pregnancy. Good-girl band geek Amy discovers that she is pregnant after losing her virginity to Ricky at band camp. Christian cheerleader Grace, however, has promised abstinence to her parents. As their secrets start to spread, everyone is affected by the news.

Life-long friends Carrie, Shannon and Denise grew up together. Now in their mid-twenties, the threesome work together as waitresses but wish they had more to their lives than that. Each of the girls have their own unique personality - Carrie (Molly Ringwald) is the mediator of the group whose best friend, Curt (Ron Livingston), is pinning for; Shannon (Jenna Elfman) is the most guy crazy of the group; and Denise (Lauren Graham) is the newly married, slightly neurotic one. Together the girls make their way though life knowing no matter what, they'll always have each other.

A government-run lab accidentally lets loose a deadly superflu and the world's population is decimated. However, there are some survivors, who begin having dreams about two figures: a mystical old woman, or a scary man.
