Good Omens
According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner.
So the armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except Aziraphale, a somewhat fussy angel, and Crowley, a fast-living demon - both of whom have lived among Earth's mortals since The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle - are not actually looking forward to the coming war. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist...
Dublin Murders
Dublin Murders is drawn from Tana French's mystery novels In The Woods and The Likeness. Blending psychological mystery and darkness, each novel is led by a different detective or detectives from the same Dublin squad. The first book centers on a duo investigating the murder of a 12-year-old girl; The Likeness is about a young female detective who goes undercover to solve a murder in an elite college town. The thruline is an intense emotional connection between cop and crime, underpinned by a disturbing tremor from another influence.
Glitch
Six-part paranormal drama series. Senior Constable James Hayes is called to a local cemetery in the middle of the night. Here he makes the discovery of six dead people rising but in perfect health. They have no memory of their identities, as disbelief soon turns to determination to find out what happened to them.
Banished
The series is inspired by events during the eighteenth century when Britain established a penal colony in Australia to which convicts were sent.
Dickensian
Dickensian intertwines the realm of fictional characters in Charles Dickens' novels in half-hour episodes, including Scrooge, Fagin and Miss Havisham, as their lives intertwine in 19th century London. The Old Curiosity Shop sits next door to The Three Cripples Pub, while Fagin's Den is hidden down a murky alley off a bustling Victorian street.
Outlander
The show spans the genres of romance, science fiction, history, and adventure. It follows Claire, a married WWII combat nurse, who mistakenly steps back in time to year 1743 where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world of adventure that sends her on the run and threatens her life.
Peaky Blinders
This TV series focuses on the Shelby family, whose many brothers and sisters, cousins and uncles, make up the fiercest gang of all, the "Peaky Blinders". Named for their practice of sewing razor blades into the peaks of their caps, the Peaky Blinders make their money from off-track betting, protection and robbery.
