Ed Bex is a man with an eating disorder: as soon as he puts something in his mouth, he sees what happened to it. He uses this special gift in his unusual job: with 'The Last Greeting' he helps relatives to reconstruct the last hours of their dearly deceased. When Inspector Adams finds a body in an airtight bag, he asks for Ed's help. Ed has doubts: does he want to use his gift in a murder case? When he does get stuck into the case, he becomes entangled in a mix of absurd situations, personal chaos and deep pangs of conscience.

Set against the backdrop of Belgium's most notorious unsolved crime spree, 1985 begins as three friends - Vicky, her brother Franky, and his best friend Marc - begin a new chapter of their lives, when they set off from their hometown to Brussels. But as their adulthood and careers in the big city commence, the trio risks losing their innocence and noble illusions, as they find themselves caught in the middle of the horrifying events that shocked a generation and will come to leave a scar on the entire country.

Walter Wilson (Kevin Janssens) and Robin De Rover (Ella-June Henrard) once started their careers in the police force with great dedication and noble ideals, but too often saw months of intensive and dangerous detective work lost due to what they considered irrelevant procedural errors, dexterity of expensive lawyers and dubious decisions of foreign judges. They are increasingly colouring outside the lines during their patrols: for example, they tip criminals off about future police actions and get heavily paid for them. Wilson is also addicted (women, booze, drugs...) and that makes him incalculable. When he is suspended from the police force after repeated conflicts, he looks for even more rapprochement with the criminal environment, but in the meantime is tipsy game.

Twelve ordinary people are called for jury duty for a murder case as traumatizing as it is controversial: the respected headmistress Fri Palmers stands accused of two murders, one of whom is her own child. Gradually, as the trial gains momentum, it is not only Fri's fate that hangs in the balance, but also the lives of the jury members that are shaken to the core.

When forensic psychiatrist Fokke Augustine inherited a farm from his father, he's at home with a burnout. He decides to move to the Groningen countryside with his family. The farm appears to be a marijuana empire and is part of a criminal network. The ethical sense of Fokke is crumbling, especially when he is successful with doubtful activities.
