Who is the mysterious man and what really connects him with the death of Cornelia's two closest women? What price will she be charged for trespassing into forbidden territories? What role in this history were played by the officers of the PRL counterintelligence - Captain Ewa Wolańska and Second Lieutenant Tadeusz Mróz? Who wanted Poland not to join the small group of countries that counted in the nuclear race?

A retired archive security officer, Henryk Mikos, made it a point of honor to solve cases that had been cancelled years ago and bring the guilty to justice. For years, Henryk analysed the files and ... waited patiently. A fugitive, which Henryk says to the archive, considers the ambitious medic Zuza Wasiluk to be his kingdom. Initially considered a freak, the old man quickly comes to the problem that it is worth working with him. Henryk makes Zuza his secret partner in criminal investigations, and when necessary - an armed arm. Henryk and Zuza also involve a butterfly who has a crush on her - Tomasz Stachura.
