In the haunting and recognizable relationship-comedy 'We need to talk' we meet the couple Els (Clara Cleymans) and Alex (Rik Verheye), who are in full crisis. After a relationship of four years Els suddenly breaks up with Alex: she has someone else. The world of Alex collapses. His heart breaks, panic strikes, he can't accept it... Didn't he notice anything or wasn't he paying attention? Els wants him to pack his bags and leave. But then the country is suddenly plagued by a cloud of poison. Everyone has to stay inside by order of the government. Time enough for Els and Alex to find each other again - or definitively repel each other. After intense conversations, romantic memories and hurtful accusations they know: will we survive this as a couple?
