The series follows a no-nonsense junior high woodshop teacher Mr. Birchum as he attempts to navigate a world he doesn't understand or approve of. He's befuddled by his gaming streamer son, annoyed at his selfie-taking students and is constantly at war with the school district's "J.E.D.I." (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion officer) whose feelings-over-facts style of administration is everything that's wrong with education today.

The show uncovers a bizarre world where mothers will do anything for their children's happiness. From the little league mama who stalks, threatens and attacks her son's coach to the pageant parent who will stop at nothing to get her daughter the crown, these mothers are not afraid to cross boundaries and get their hands dirty.

A nationwide talent search accepting the best professional and non-professional stand-up comedians. Once the selection process is narrowed to 10, the show covers the contestants as they live together and compete for an exclusive contract with NBC, and to be called the Last Comic Standing.
