This is a re-imagining of the anthology series "Are You Afraid of the Dark?". The limited series, which will consist of three hour-long episodes, will introduce a new Midnight Society group of kids who will tell the terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom, only to have the events of the story come to life.

The show follows four friends as they make the most of their last weekend before high school. A comic convention has come to their town, and they will do whatever it takes to be part of the magic. But after a wild party, a lost dog and a destroyed house, their friendship is put to the test.
