Jennifer Shannon is a sleuthing yard sale treasure hunter, who looks for items she can sell at her store Rags to Riches. Her keen eye for finding valuables often gets her caught up in criminal investigations that happen at the second-hand sales she attends.

Relationship coach and best-selling author Marin Frist (Anne Heche) is in for a surprise when she discovers, while on her way to Alaska, that her fiancé has been cheating on her and her wedding has been called off. Once in Alaska she gets snowed in and is stuck in a town full of available men.
