Turkey in the shadow of the 1960s, the golden age of survival of a producer began to live rendition of the story telling in the series; Semih Ateş is an ambitious producer who cannot live without stories, his eyes turn out to be in the cinema, and say 'if I can't make a movie, I will die'. At the same time, to regain his unforgettable ex-wife, Yeşilçam's famous actor Mine Cansu. Hakan, who is both Semih's partner and Mine's brother, introduces Tülin, whom he sees by chance and believes to be the starlight, to Semih. Tülin, a young and talented girl, slowly changes the balance in Semih's life.

Yilmaz owes his life to Sinan after he saves him from a boating accident caused by a storm. After Sinan returns home from the Army - guilty about the loss of his father on the same accident - Yilmaz puts him at the head of his company. However, when Sinan meets Yilmaz's beautiful wife Bahar, it is love at first sight and they cannot resist getting closer. And when both their brothers fall for the same girl, the animosity between their families will grow.

Leyla and Mecnun is a surreal and absurd comedy that revolves around the fictional love story between Leyla and Mecnun.
