Vaka centers on the survival of Stockholm's population when an epidemic of insomnia sweeps the city, turning everyone's lives into a waking nightmare of chaos. As the disease spreads, fates and lives collide against an unstoppable threat. While a disgraced prime minister battles to control the city and his image while protecting his reckless son, a dedicated ambulance nurse risks everything to save her infected lover, and a teenage girl defends a young neighbor after his family falls victim to illness and conspiracies.
