And it is the ability for which Ettore Napoli, of the Secret Services, asks her to collaborate in arresting Gemini, an exponent of international crime passionate about gambling.

A secret linked to a painful event from the past suddenly returns to the lives of the Ristuccia family, owners of the La Villetta restaurant, one of the most renowned restaurants in the capital for forty years. Carlo, his new partner Ginevra and his sister Sara are always there, every day, to help their parents Pietro and Alba in running the business. The only absent is Paolo, the artist brother, who no one knows where he is. One day, however, an unexpected event upsets the family balance.

Police Inspector Petra Delicato works in the archive department of the Genoa Flying Squad. That is, until the day in which, due to staff shortage, she is assigned her first operational case. She finds herself working alongside the Police Constable Antonio Monte, an old-fashioned, middle-aged man with a rational mind. The polite, old-school widower and the direct, unconventional, two-times divorcee find themselves catapulted into a new world and working together on different cases: a horrific series of rapes in the old city alleyways, the illegal trade of fighting dogs, the strict and harsh world of religious sects, the darkest secrets of the world of television. The crime series is inspired by the character of Detective Petra Delicado, conceived by Spanish author Alicia Giménez Bartlett, but takes place in the Italian city of Genova, instead of the original Barcelona.
